Shri Ujjal Biswas is an experienced Indian political leader currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Krishnanagar Dakshin constituency in Nadia district, West Bengal. He is a senior leader of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) and presently holds the portfolio of Minister of Science, Technology, and Bio-Technology in the West Bengal Government since August 2022. Born on June 17, 1954, Biswas has been actively involved in politics for several decades and was elected MLA from Krishnanagar Dakshin in 2011, 2016, and 2021 state assembly elections. Known for his commitment to development, social work, and constituency welfare, Biswas has spearheaded initiatives in technology advancement, agricultural development, and social empowerment.
