Ashish Shambhunath Marjit

Ashis Marjit is an Indian politician serving as the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Khargram (SC) constituency in Murshidabad district, West Bengal. He represents the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) and has been in office since the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections. Previously, he was elected twice as an MLA from the same constituency representing the Indian National Congress in 2011 and 2016. Marjit is known for his focus on development, social work, women empowerment, and youth leadership within his constituency. With a background as an assistant teacher and education up to Higher Secondary level, he is recognized for his grassroots connections and dedication to inclusive growth in Khargram.
