Shree Paramananda Rajbongshi

Paramananda Rajbongshi was born on February 23, 1961, in Patidarrang Village, Darrang district, Assam, into the family of Late Anandi Ram Rajbongshi. Raised with core values of integrity, community service, and social responsibility, he credits his upbringing for instilling a deep commitment to public welfare. He completed his education at Gauhati University, earning a Ph.D. in Political Science, which laid a strong foundation for his analytical and leadership capabilities. Rajbongshi had an academic career as an associate professor at Pragjyotish College in Guwahati before entering politics, contributing to his well-rounded perspective on governance. He is married and maintains strong family bonds despite the demands of his political career, valuing nurturing close relationships that support his personal growth.
