His educational qualification is Intermediate (Higher Secondary), and he is aged around 63 years.
He is married to A. Vijayalakshmi, who is also a businesswoman. Together, they have been subjects of an investigation by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) for alleged accumulation of disproportionate assets from 2016 to 2022, valued at around Rs 2.75 crores.
