Saji Cherian, born on May 28, 1965, in Kozhuvalloor, Alappuzha district, Kerala, is a prominent Indian politician currently serving as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Chengannur constituency in Kerala. He represents the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] and holds the position of Minister for Fisheries, Culture, and Youth Affairs in the Kerala government.

Saji's political journey began with the Students' Federation of India (SFI), where he served as secretary and president of the Alappuzha district committee. He rose through the ranks of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and held several key positions, including secretary of the CPI(M) Alappuzha district committee and president of the Alappuzha District Sports Council. Saji has also been actively involved in cooperative banking and palliative care organizations.

Elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Chengannur since 2018, Saji is noted for his development initiatives, especially in rural empowerment, youth leadership, and cultural promotion. He completed his education at Bishop Moore College, Mavelikkara, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, and pursued LLB from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.
