Shri. Jagtap Laxman Pandurang was a key strategist for the successful development of Pimpri- Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. He became the Corporater from the year 1986 to 2006 and continuously stood for 21 years for Pimpri- Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. In 1993, he became the chairman for the Standing Committee of Pimpri- Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Then the journey began and in the next successful years he was wore the crown of various position such as Mayor(2002) for PCMC. MLC (2004) of Maharashtra Legislative Council and currently holding the position of MLA (2009) of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
