Shri Govind Prasad is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and represents the Manohar Thana constituency in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. In the 2023 Assembly Elections, he retained his position by defeating Congress's Nemichand Meena and Independent leader Kailash Chand. He won with 85,304 votes, while Kailash Chand and Nemichand Meena secured 60,439 and 38,429 votes respectively. Prior to this, in 2018, he had also won the seat by defeating Kailash Chand of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 21,869 votes. He is a graduate and his profession is agriculture.
