Raj Vanshi Mahto is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly representing the Cheria Bariarpur constituency in Bihar. He is a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party. Raj Vanshi Mahto was elected as an MLA in the Bihar Assembly elections of 2020, defeating the former social welfare minister Manju Verma by a margin of around 40,000 votes. Earlier, he served as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from the Balia constituency in Bihar. In 2022, he was appointed as the chief whip of the ruling RJD. He is known for his focus on social work, especially efforts toward caste-based equality and rural development in his constituency.
