Niranjan Maheshwar Mehta

Niranjan Kumar Mehta is a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the Bihariganj constituency in Madhepura district, Bihar. He is affiliated with the Janata Dal (United) party (JD(U)). Mehta has been elected twice to the Bihar Legislative Assembly, winning in both 2015 and 2020 elections. Before his tenure as MLA, he served as Mukhiya of Madhuban Panchayat in Udakishunganj. He is known for advocating farmer welfare, especially raising issues related to fair pricing for maize crops and development work like the reconstruction of the Uda-Madhuban roadway. Mehta is also active in social and political movements linked to the Koeri caste. His work in development and social causes marks him as a notable youth and farmer welfare leader in Bihar.
