Sitting MLA Dharmaraobaba Bhagwantrao Atram is a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP, Ajit Pawar faction) representing the Aheri constituency in Gadchiroli district, Maharashtra. With a political career spanning several decades, Atram has served multiple terms as MLA (1990–1995, 1999–2004, 2004–2009, 2019–2024, 2024–present) and was Cabinet Minister for Food and Drug Administration in Maharashtra (2023–2024). Known as “Baba” among his supporters, he is recognized for championing tribal welfare, rural development, and social work in the region. Atram’s initiatives include infrastructure projects, educational support for Adivasi youth, and women empowerment programs. He was honored with the “Best People Leader Award 2024” for his outstanding public service and grassroots leadership.
