Sebastian Kulathunkal, born on October 10, 1966, in Peruvanthanam, Idukki district, Kerala, is a seasoned Indian politician and advocate currently serving as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Poonjar constituency in Kottayam district, Kerala. He is affiliated with the Kerala Congress (M) party and has been representing his constituency since May 2021.

His political journey began during his college days as Union Chairman at St. Dominic’s College, Kanjirappally. Sebastian rose through the ranks of student and youth wings, serving as President and General Secretary of various Kerala Students Congress (KSC) and Kerala Youth Front (KYF) units. He held leadership roles in Kerala Congress (M), including President of Kanjirappally Constituency, member of the State Committee and State Steering Committee.

Sebastian Kulathunkal is also noted for his tenure as Member and President of the Kottayam District Panchayat, and long-standing involvement as Director Board Member and President of Koovappally Service Co-operative Bank.
