In the 2023 elections, Shobha Rani Kushwaha, an expelled Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, has been fielded by Congress from the Dholpur constituency. In the Dholpur City Assembly Constituency of Rajasthan, as of the 17th and final round of vote counting, Shobha Rani Kushwah from the Indian National Congress has emerged victorious with 69,724 votes, securing a significant lead of +16,789 votes over Ritesh Sharma of the Bahujan Samaj Party, who got 52935 votes.
